Why isn’t Ladies Golf more popular?

I enjoy golf. And often wonder why more women don’t. True, golf is usually seen as a ‘male’ sport. But surely we are well past that kind of thinking? Or are there other factors involved?
To that end I conducted some local research to break down the decision making process in choosing a ‘female’ sport; examined key motivating factors; and looked at what offers might convince women to consider golf as a regular sporting activity.
Some of the results I uncovered are intriguing, and may help contribute to building a bigger picture of the complex issues associated with women and golf.
